Tournament #12.....Breaking down ASA Open State
Well, some pretty good runs by some of my favorite teams at the Fireman's.  As I told Johnny Utah, I knew someone would beat Long Haul.  Some controversy as well....fun times, great job to 164 and Pfeff on another great year.  Here we go for Open State.....

Round One:
Homes Unlimited/T&H Delivery/Superstas/Titan/Miken vs. Viessman/BBS/Miken.
Probably the best first round match-up.  One team that hasn't lived up to expectations and another that has been up and down.  It will be a close one, but I see Viessman getting on a roll in this tournament.  I like Viessman, 19-13.

Minnesota Building Contractors vs. Team Viessman/Boyd.
MBC making their first appearance in the big dance after competing in the C division the past few years.  Viessman made a small run last year and Flip, Crummy, and jr#1 will have their guys ready.  I like Viessman in this one, 16-10.

Lucky's 13/Jazz vs. Redwood/Sportsdiamond/Worth.
One of the highlights of the Fireman's was Hammer's grunt on his 3 run homer against MN Mizuno.  Thanks for the memories bud!  This is Redwood's tourney to lose and unlike Long Haul, I can't see them dropping any.  I like Redwood to get an early scare, then roll like they know how to do.  Final is 22-12.

Sellox/OC Lending/Foxworth/Miken vs. Bill's well Drilling.
haven't seen much of Bill's this year, so it is tough to predict.  Which Sellox group will show?  If it's the team that can roll, they could make a pretty good run.  I do like Sellox, but in a tight one, 17-15.

McAlpine's vs. Team Buzzkill.
A couple more teams that I haven't seen much of, except Buzzkill at the Fireman's.  Flip of the coin, heads it is, McAlpine's in a one run game, 18-17.

Quaterfinals:
Viessman/BBS/Miken vs. Minnehaha Liquors.
This one will be closer than people think.  When M'haha brings their hitting sticks, the craft vets can hit with a lot of teams in the the state.  I do have to take Viessman/BBS, but close.  Final is 23-19.

Viessman/Boyd vs. BBS/Kelly's/Miken.
This would have been great, but BBS is missing a boat load of guys.  There is an E USSSA tourney up in Maple grove that most of the guys will be at.  Just kidding, couldn't resist after all the banter this week on the board...You know how I feel when I pick you to win most weekends.  Seriously though, they are short most of their key guys, but do have Mr. Major League Savvy.  I like Viessman/Boyd on this one, 16-11.

Redwood/Sportsdiamond/Worth vs. Sellox.
They had a good one at the Fireman's as Redwood had just enough fire power.  I see them rolling in this one, 21-14.

Peter's Signs vs. McAlpine's.
McAlpine's, 19-6.

Semifinals:
Viessman/BBS/Miken vs. Viessman/Boyd.
Tough for the sponsor in this one.  I like Perfect Guys squad to conquer and end Boyd's run, 19-12.

Redwood vs. McAlpine's.
Redwood keeps rolling, this one will be closer than most think.  Redwood in this one, 18-14.

Undefeated:
Viessman/BBS/Miken vs. Redwood/Sportdiamond/Worth.
This is the way the TD wrote this up and their dream match-up.  This would be a great to watch and will go back and forth.  I like Redwood in a tight one, 24-21.

Champioship Game:
Redwood beats a tired Viessman/BBS/Miken, 18-11.

Final Order:
1) Redwood/Sportsdiamond/Worth
2) Viessman/BBS/Miken
3) McAlpine's
4) Viessman/Boyd
5 and 6) Sellox and Team Buzzkill
