Tournament #11.....Breaking down the 50th Fireman's Brackets....All 6 divisions!
Well Rubes, it's finally here.  Fireman's week!  Should be some good match-ups and some good times.  Thanks to all of you who have sent your well wishes on CBS' decision to replace me on basketball coverage.  I have begun preliminary discussions with a few other affiliates and should be up and running soon.  This will give me more time to focus on bracket busting for the rest of the year.  The brackets below will be listed startign at the top and going down the bracket, not necessarily by game time.  Without further ado, here we go:

Tier 1:
Round One:
Viessman/BBS/Miken vs. Willow River/B2 Sports.
First of many good first round match-ups.  Viessman is coming off a championship weekend down in Elba, led by MVP Skelly.  Willow River/B2 Sports brings a nice squad to the Fireman's led by the big lefty that can hit monster bombs.  they have given some good teams some fits in the tournament the past few years and this year will be much of the same.  I do think Viessman is going strong right now and will pull this one out, 19-15.

Sellox/Foxworth/OC Lending/Miken vs. J&H Wall/Chanticlear/Miken.
Great 8:10 Friday night match-up.  Selloxx is coming off a 5th place finish in Brainerd and continues to a disappointing season.  With Kamala pitching, anythinc can happen in this one.  J&H is having a very nice season and looks to make some noise at the big one this weekend.  I see Vitz and his squad having a nice start and pulling this one out, 21-14.

BBS/Kelly's/Miken vs. All-American Restoration/Miken.
Good way to finish up the Friday night.  BBS/Kelly's/Miken has been rolling and I believe 2 championships in a row.  Seems like they are hitting on all cylinders as well.  All-American seems to be starting to get there camp in order as well and look to avenge their loss to BBS in Shakopee.  I heard All-American has added a key player for the weekend, but that seems to be speculation at this point.  I see a real tight one, but BBS/Miken pulling it out, 21-19.

Lucky's 13/Jazz vs. MN Mission.
Lucky's 13/Jazz coming off a second place finish in Elba without their main guy Hammer.  MN Mission appears to have added a couple of players for the weekend, but that appears to be speculation at this point.  I see MN Mission winning this one, 18-15.

Long Haul/Phonemasters/Miken vs. Salscheider/Hanson/Miken.
The attraction game of the night.  Long Haul obviously brings a boat load of talent and obviously the team to beat in this whole tourney.  Salscheider seems to have found their groove last weekend in Brainerd with a 2nd place finish.  Question will be how big of a terd will Dean Smith drop in his pants when he does the coin toss with Hank Garris.  I like Long Haul in this one, 22-9.

Sperle Masonry vs. River City Ready Mix/Bud Light.
River City has some guys that can mash, I like them in this one, 17-12.

Homes Unlimited vs. Animal House/Coulee.
Heard John Belushi's team miht be backing out, but we'll see.  If the team that replaces them comes that I heard, this outlook on this game may change.  HU will start out with a good first round and win this one, 16-6.

MN Easton vs. Stepan Enterprises/the Bar.
MN Easton is having a nice season and has been hitting the ball quite well.  I haven't seen much of SE, so I like MN Easton in this one, 18-8.

T's 13/Easton vs. BBS/Josh Fjerstad.
T's will get rolling early and often in this one.  I like T's winning big, 24-10.

Kim's Barrell Inn vs. Viessman Trucking.
This one will be a good one as well, but I like Kim's in a tight one, 20-16.

TCP/Easton vs. Buffalo Wild Wings/Combat.
Anyone who knows me knows it is tough for me to pick against any BW3 sponsored team, but I have to go with TCP in this one, 19-9.

Redwood/Sportsdiamond vs. Eitzen State Bank.
ESB comes off a third place finish and had a nice Fireman's last year.  However, redwood is also one of the tourney favs and has too much firepower.  I like Redwood in this one, 22-11.

Round 2:
Viessman/BBS over Vacances Transat Holidays, 21-10.
J&H Wall over BBS/Miken, 22-15.
Long Haul over MN Mission, 22-9.
Pipac Softball over River City, 23-13

Tharaldson Enterprises vs. Homes Unlimited.
TE is finally rolling since I have been picking against them.  Watch out for this squad, they will reverse the curse.  I like TE in this one, 20-10.

T's 13 over MN Easton, 19-13
TCP/Easton over Kim's BI, 17-11
Redwood over Team Buzz Kill, 22-15.

Quarterfinals:
J&H over BBS/Viessman, 18-17 on Mutzy walk-off
Long Haul over Pipac, 21-14
TE over T's 13, 22-20
Redwood over TCP/Easton, 19-17

Semi's:
Long Haul over J&H, 22-18
TE over Redwood in a heated Ross Vs. Riggo match.  TE on a Nacho walk-off, 19-18.

Undefeated game:
Long Haul over TE, 19-16.

Championship:
Game 1: TE over Long Haul, 21-19.
Game 2: Long Haul over TE, 23-15.

Final Order:
1) Long Haul
2) TE
3) T's 13
4) Redwood/Sportsdiamond
5/6) J&H and TCP/Easton

Co-MVP: Geno Buck/BJ Fulk

Tier 2:
Round One:
Stagecoach over LGC/westwood 16-4
Easton/Hooters/Rockets 15-7
MN Merchants over Cedar Liquor, 19-6
Minnehaha Liquors over Velocity/Metro Turf/AV Ford, 14-10

Round 2:
Outkast/Combat/Elite vs. Buster's Bar.
Zins and crew get rolling early and come to the Twin Cities looking for a title.  they win big, 19-4.

Dogg Pound vs. Sioux Nation.
great first round match-up on open fields.  It will be a close, low scoring game.  I like Doggpound, 8-5.

Stagecoach over Sun opta, 11-4.

BBS/Imperial vs. KPE/Champps.
saw BBBS/Imperial a few weeks ago and they were mashign it.  I like them in this one, 16-8.

MN Hitmen over Twin City design, 6-3.

Easton/Hooters/Rockets over Team Fastcard.  early 8am game for Shamu and squad, but still like them 10-3 on an open field.

Westwood vs. Clown Punchers.
Bloomington Tuesday night league leader and against Wed Bloomington league power.  I like westwood in this one, 12-6.

Ackerman Surveying over Multistack, 14-8.

Ish/Miken vs. Coyotes.
Why on earth is ISH in Tier 2?  They could make some serious noise in Tier 1.  Have to say I am a little disappointed in these guys.  Wayne Gretzky's Coyotes will not have enough fire power in this one and lose to Ish, 19-4.

Tanel 360/Miken/Dave's Sportshop vs. Memory Lanes.
This could be a make or break weekend for Tanel 360/Miken/Dave's.  Heard some interesting things about these guys the last couple of tourneys.  I like Composite Bat Hero will show his SENIOR leadership and get these guys going down the right path.  I like them in this one, 16-6.

MN Merchants vs. Freightliner Jesters.
The old guys keep rolling in this one, 14-6.

GMHI/Stevo's/Easton vs. Trails/Miken.
I like Stevo's to get rolling in this one, 18-8.

Chatters vs. Korson Farms.
Not sure who is left on Korson, but Chatters is makign some noise and will win this one, 16-14.

M'haha liquors over Blitz/Miken, 11-5.
Stealth Bombers/GLM over MIC Softball 12-7.
Sperle Masonry over The Canteen, 11-3.

Round 3:
Outkast vs. Dogg Pound.
Final Say has the last word in this one and shows them what SD softball is all about.  He does need to make sure to get the Big Swede to bed, that guy likes to go all night.  I like Oukast, 19-9.

Stagecoach vs. BBS/Imperial.
If BBS/Imperial brings there hitting shoes, they will win this one, 16-14.

Easton/Hooters/Rockets over Hitmen, 14-6.
Westwood over Ackerman, 13-8.

Ish/Miken vs. Tanel 360/Miken/Dave's.
One of the most intriguing match-ups in the whole tournament.  Tanel looks to avenge their whooping from 6's Wild  ISH is one of the toop teams on this one and will pull out a heated match, 16-13.

Merchants over GMHI/Steveo's, 17-11

Biff's/Duffy's vs. HCCLTM.
Tough first round game.  Too bad they play in the 1st round.  I really like my HCCLTM boys, but Biff's/Duffy's is playing very well right.  This could go either way and I see the winner in the championship.  I see Biff's pulling out a tight one, 11-8 on an open field game.  Maybe HCCLTM can reverse the B.P. curse?

Atonement Angels vs. Devil Dawgs.
