Tournament #8.....Breaking down the Spud Fest Brackets--C division
Well, a good run to the championship for BBS/Miken last weekend....Mr. Major League savvy must have had his game face on....good run boys.   See, no reason to panic.  Here we go.....

First Round:
Chatters/Moon Sports vs. Braham Lumber.  Didn't get a chance to see Chatters in Albertville...seems like they didn't have a great weekend.  Braham turned some heads last weekend by scoring a bunch of runs in Mound against some quality teams.  I like bender43 and the Lumberyard to win this one, 17-10.

BBS/Miken vs. Play it 2 Loud.  Haven't really heard of Play it 2 Loud....I think they may have been in Albertville, not sure.  BBS/Miken has hit their stride led by one of the top ASA pitchers in the state and they will continue to roll.  This may get ugly early.  I like BBS winning this one 23-8.

Dean's/McPete's vs. MN Merchants.  McPete's enters one of its 40 teams in Spud Fest, but the old scrappy Merchants can still hit it.  I like the Merchants in this one, 18-9.

Trails/Miken vs. Peter's Signs.  Battle of a couple of CC teams in this one.  Trails didn't have a great weekend in Albertville and they look to get back to their winning ways.  I like Trails in a close one, 14-13.

Quaterfinals:
MN Building Contractors vs. Braham Lumber.  Interesting match-up.  MBC has new uni's this year and looking better.  Braham and the Dahlman brothers will continue to hit in this one and beat up on the Contractors, 16-11.

BBS/Miken vs. BWW/Sportsbleachers.  This should be a great game.  BWW/Sportsbleachers is a solid squad and will be primed for the upset.  However, BBS/Miken is still rolling will be tough to be beat in this torunament.  I like BBS, but it will be a close one, 21-18.

MN Merchants vs. Easton/Rockets.  Another interesting match-up.  Old vs. Young.  I see Robby and his upstart crew slapping the ball around the field to make the guys run.  It will be close however, with the Rockets winning in the 7th, 17-16.

Trails/Miken vs. Westwood/Connolly.  This could go a number of ways, depends if Westwood brings their hitting sticks.  I have seen them score 4 runs, but have seen them score 29.  I think they will be ready to go and take this one, 20-9.

Semi Finals:
BBS/Miken vs. Braham Lumber.  Major League savvy will implement the zone defense against the Dahlmans and shut them down.  I see BBS rolling in this one, 23-7.

Easton Rockets vs. Westwood.  Again, this depends on Westwood's sticks, but they might use them up in the quaters.  I like Eason/Rockets in this one, 18-12.

Undefeated Game:
BBS/Miken vs. Rockets.  Do I need to keep going...we all get it by now, BBS rolls 21-13.

Championship:
BBS/Miken vs. Rockets....BBS again, makes 2 championships in 2 weeks, 23-16.

Co-MVPs: Josh Thurow and Tom King

Final Order of finish:

1) BBS/Miken
2) Easton/Rockets
3) BWW/Sportsbleachers
4) Braham Lumber Company
5/6) MN Merchants
     Westwood/Connolly
