Tournament #7.....Breaking down the Mound Brackets--CC/C
The super 24 team tournament is down to 10, too bad for the weather earlier this year.  There have been a couple of qualifiers, but none that included the couple of super powers of BBS/Miken, Salcheider, and Outkast.  Also, hearing some great, great things about Fleet Feet...they may be a sleeper in this one.  Here we go:

Round one:
BBS/Miken/Kelly's vs. Fleet Feet.  Great first round match-up.  Winner of this could win the whole thing.  I haven't seen Fleet Feet, but heard they put a beating on Dean's Smith Salscheider squad a couple of weeks ago at Pea Soup Days in Somerset.  This one is going to be closer than people think, but I have to go with the experience level and major level saviness of the BBS pitcher.  I like BBS/Miken in this one, 19-16.

BBS/Josh Fjelstad Painters vs. Salscheider/Miken/Hansen/VFW 295.  Another good first round match-up.  Dean Smith's squad is off to a rough start in tourneys this year.  Only win I believe is against CC, but maybe this is the weekend that they make the turn.  They got some highly regarded rankings at the beginning, was it hype or just a rough start.  I think they get it rolling in this one.  BTW, who is the guy from the Painters team...the smaller guy with a raspy voice.  Man, that dude can drink.  I think he had one straight buzz all weekend at 6's.  Anyways, Salscheider gets it rolling on Saturday morning with a 18-10 win.

Quaterfinals:
Braham Lumber Company vs. Grumpy's.  Grumpy's was off to a great start in April in this tourney with the upset over BBS/Imperial.  Braham brings bender43 and Isiah and Noah Dalhman down to Mound to ready to roll.  I like Braham in this one over the hometowners, 11-8.

BBS/Miken vs. Outkast.  Another game that could prove to be the champion.  Outkast brings a solid squad with them from South Dakota and they need to stay off the sauce on friday night!  BBS will be coming off an impressive win against Fleet Feet, so they have a game under their belt and may be rolling at this point.  I do have to take the South Dakota Jackrabbits in this one in a mild upset, 18-15.

Salscheider vs. Floyd's.  I was a little disappointed about Floyd's this weekend in Albertville, but they were short a few guys.  Really like they started the season and sharp uniforms, love those U of Miami colors!  Salscheider will be coming off a good win, but they will drop this one, 16-10.

Stealth Bombers/GLM vs. Buster's.  Stealth Bombers...not sure they have won a tournament game this year...Again have to commend them on their uniform change this year.  Don't know a lot about Buster's, but i do see them pulling this one out, 14-12.

Semi Finals:
Outkast vs. Braham.  Hamer, Zins, and crew outrebound the Dalhman brothers in this one and hit a bunch of threes.  I like Outkast in a quick one, 19-6.

Floyd's vs. Buster's:
Floyd's continues their roll, win this one quick as well.  21-8.

Undefeated game:
Outkast vs. Floyd's.  Great match-up, two real good teams.  Whoever has the hammer may win this one, but I am seeing Outkast pulling this one out, 18-17.

Finals:
Outkast beats BBS/miken, who goes on an impressive run and comes all the way back.  Outkast wins it as BBS runs out of gas, 15-11.

Final Order:
1) Outkast
2) BBS/Miken/Kelly's Bar
3) Floyd's
4) Fleet Feet
