Tournament #4.....Breaking down the Shako Lions brackets---All divisions!
Well, some interesting results and plenty of controversy from 6's Wild....Should make for an interesting summer.  Hope all is well for anyone that is in the upper suburbs with the tornado.  Here we go:

Upper Bracket

Round one:
Homes Unlimited vs. All-American:
Great play-in game match-up on Friday night.  Both teams will bring their hitting sticks.  I see Homes Unlimited finally winning a close one in the 7th, 19-18 on a walk-off by Agent Fry.

CC vs. Selloxx/Foxworth/Miken:
Another great match-up as the 9:00 spot light will highlight the 6's Wild champs against Selloxx, who had a tough weekend in Red Wing.  Kind of a hard one to predict because it depends which team shows up ready to play (CC losing first round game to Salscheider).  I do have to jump on the Geno train and maybe they are rolling now.  I have to go with CC winnign this one, 22-16.

Westwood Sports/TransAmerican vs. Viessman/BBS/Miken:
I give Westwood credit for playing in the Upper in this one.  When they hit, they can put up a lot of runs, but have seen too much inconsistency over the past couple of years.  Viessman/BBS is coming off a solid weekend in 6's Wild...they need to find a way to win at end of some tourneys.  I like Viessman getting off to a good start, 21-10.

Homes Unlimited vs. BBS/Miken:
BBS has had somewhat of a slow start playing in the 2 Upper divisions of Corky's and 6's Wild.  I hear they aren't real happy, but I can see it being more benefical come C national time playing against better competition.  If JT doesn't get thrown out like he does in JV baseball games, I see his squad pulling off the upset.  Take it easy on the umps...They make mistakes at the high school and adult level!  Final, BBS/Miken 19, Homes Unlimited 13.

Tharaldson's vs. Team Viessman:
Team Viessman....please, please don't have a cooler within 10 miles of the facility.  I would bring a heat gun with to make sure there isn't any issues.  With that said, I think Tharaldson's will roll in this one, 23-12.

Semi's:
CC vs. Viessman:
When either team gets rolling, they are tough to stop, but I think Geno gets in too many heads.  CC wins this one, 22-19.

Tharaldson's vs. BBS/Miken:
They pull off the upset in round one, but can't hang with the ND boys.  I like the Sioux winning this one, 24-12.

Finals:
Tharaldson's vs. CC:
Single great line last time they faced each other, "I win forever, I win forever."  OO's, if you are pitching watch yourself, it appeared to be wide open.  I like Tharaldson's to continue rolling, 25-17.

Loser's bracket final:
Viessman over CC, 19-16

Championship:
Tharaldson's over Viessman, 17-14.

Final Order of finish:
1) Tharaldson's
2) Viessman
3) CC
4) Selloxx

Tournament MVP: Obviously OO's.

Middle Bracket:
Minnehaha Liquors vs. Velocite:
Great first round match-up.  M'haha is off to a good start this season and I see them continuing in this one, 17-10.

Dedicated Merchants vs. Stealth Bombers;
Don't know much about Dedicated Merchants, but know enough the Stealth Bombers.  Their weekends are short and it will happen again this weekend....they may need to replace their coach.  I see the Merchants winning this one 14-7.

Schmidt Roofing vs. Grumpy's:
Don't know much about Schmidt Roofing, but Grumpy's is off to a good start this season.  There first round win in Mound solidified my thoughts on these guys.  Grumpy's wins this one, 13-8.

Death Grip/Reapers vs. Skyline/Kubes/Turtles/neisens:
Death Grip get their ASA berth a couple of weeks ago, but run into the hometown buzzsaw that is Skyline.  Big crowds and standing room only expected for this one.  I like Skyline winning 15-11.

Stagecoach vs. The Team:
Getting some good reports on The Team.  Will have to get out and watch these guys, but again hometown with prevail in this one.  I like Selloxx JV winning this one, 16-9.

MN Building Contractors vs. Bashers:
Does the bashers pitcher wear the MP3 player at night?  I hope they are flip up shades!  I like MBC off a solid season last year winning this one, 18-8.

Double Down vs. MN Hitmen:
Not sure who Double Down is, so I like the Hitmen, 10-7.

Cruisin' Chubby's vs. Sioux Nation:
Another good first round match-up.  Cruisin' Chubby's had a rough first game in 6's, but rolled late on Saturday and Sunday.  Sioux had a decent couple of weekends, but CC will prevail, 16-14.

Quaterfinals:
Minnehaha over Dedicated Merchants, 19-10
Skyline over Schmidt Roofing, 14-10
Stagecoaach over MN Building Contractors, 20-16
Cruisin Chubby's over Hitmen, 23-4

Semis:
Minnehaha over Skyline, 15-9
Stagecoach over CC, 18-17

Finals:
Stagecoach over Minnehaha, 16-15

Champiosnhip Game one-
Crusin Chubby's over Stagecoach, 13-10

Championship Game two-
Stagecoach over Crusin Chubby's, 14-5

Final Order:
Stagecoach
Cruisin Chubby's
Minnehaha Liquors
Skyline

Lower

Order of finish:

1) Team Wanabees--solid squad.  They will have some tight games, but will prevail.
2) HCCLTM--very good D team.  Rocknviking will have his squad ready and SS is pretty legit.
3) Dogg Pound---Crystal Frolic champs from last year know how to win...do they still have Derek in CF?
4) Vogel's

Women's

Order of finish:
1) O&S--solid squad with some high finishes at state the past couple of years
2) MN Menace
3) Lenzen/Laketown--Lenzen always produces some nice players
4) Velocite

Co-rec
1) Shantytown/KOD--these guys have a D state chmapionship under their belt and I believe they won the co-rec in the Lions last year.
2)Sexworld/Shantytown---solid squad for years that knows how to win
3) Z sports---another solid co-rec team that plays late into the weekends
4) TC Crush
