Here we go....Some real nice teams in the lower that could compete with the big boys in the Upper....I am starting to love the mid majors. Disappointed that rocknviking and fat ugly jamaican didn't get their respective squads into this tourney. Both HCCLTM and LaserBax would have fared well. Anyways, here is the breakdown: 1st Round: Mike's Baytown/Gopher Hills vs. Stealth Bombers/GLM: Glad to see that the Stealth Bombers changed their uniforms this year. Those things and colors were awful last year. This match-up will be a close one, but I love that Gopher Hills golf course and they will win this one, 10-6. Minnehaha Liquors vs. Cruzin Chubbies: The Liquors are getting older every year, but they still can hit it with the best of them. Cruisin Chubbies had a nice season last year and are looking to keep building. I like Minnehaha in this one, as they out hit the Chubbies, 16-12. Velocite vs. Kelly's Bar: Don't kknow much about Kelly's Bar, but know that Velocite can have some nice days at the plate. I like Velocite in this one, 15-10. BBS/Josh Fjerstad Painters vs. Mainstreeter: Again, haven't heard of this Mainstreeter team, so makes me have to pick BBS/JFP in this one, 15-6. Sioux Nation vs. The Bashers: Sioux Nation playing at home....That is much like the Celtics at home this year, can't bet against them! It is a late night game, so it will be interesting to see if the Bashers pitcher will be wearing his shades that are connected to his MP3 that he listens to and changes the song between every pitch and at bat....probably quiet dark for that. I like the Nation at home, 14-10. Buster's Bar and Grill vs. Lyle Liquor Blues: I just have one thing to say here. Butter! This guy gets the accalades on here, just strange he never makes the jump to the Upper level ball. With the mid seam balls, he might be the only guy in this game to hit a HR. I predict he hits a minimum of 2. Lyle wins this one, 13-6. MN Mission vs. Southpark: Is Duda playing with the Mission? That is the word on the street. If that is the case, I can't see Southpark and Stanley Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Theodore Cartman, and Kenneth "Kenny" McCormick winning this one. I like the Mission in a walk through, 19-8. Westwood/Connelly vs. Miken/Tanel360/Dave's: One of the best first round match-ups in either bracket. Westwood...when they are on, they can put up 30. However, I have seen them put up 3 or 4...Interesting to see what teams shows up. Miken/Tanel360/Dave's---these guys are off to a great start. Had a solid year last year and adding Ryan O'Connell from Kevitt doesn't hurt either. I like Tanel360 because of their championship at Corky's, 17-16. MN Hitmen vs. Merchants: Hitmen will find out they miss Brice more than they thought. I like the Merchants in this one, 12-11. MN Easton vs. Korson Farms: MN Easton got their C card, now have to show they can beat these teams as well. Korson also is one of those teams that can hit, much like Westwood and Minnehaha. I like MN Easton in another close one, 20-18. Lucky's 13/MN Jazz vs. Trails Sportbar/Miken: Lucky's 13....this is a very early start for you guys...Make sure you hoold off the sauce the night before. Trails, please don't hit middle...everyone will hear about it for weeks. I like the Jazz in this one, 16-12. Sperle/First Class vs. Floyd's/Stodola/BHL: Floy's jumped onto the radar with their impressive outing in Burnsvile.. They keep it rolling in this one, 16-9. 2nd Round: Ish/Miken vs. Mike's Baytown: Ish/Miken continues where they leave off, putting a hurt on Mike's...21-8. Minnehaha over Velocite, 17-13 Sioux Nation over BBS/Josh Fjerstad Painters, 13-9 Prime Mortgage vs. Lyle Liquor: Not enough Butter in this one...The Central region champs from last year and can hit the long ball as well. Prime wins this one, 17-6. MN Mission over Sperle/M&M Drywall, 18-5. Tanel 360 over Merchants, 20-7. Lucky's 13 over MN Easton, 16-13. Floyd's over DLB/Shirtsandlogos, 13-10 Quarterfinals: Ish/Miken over Minnehaha Liquors, 21-18. Prime Mortgage over Sioux Nation, 15-10 Tanel 360/Miken/Dave's over MN Mission, 17-12 Floyd's over Lucky's 13/MN Jazz, 18-13. Semi-Finals: Ish/Miken over Prime Mortgage, 16-15 Tanel 360/Miken/Dave's over Floyd's 18-14 Undefeated Game: Perfect match-up between the two champions from last weekend, Tanel 360 vs. Ish/Miken. I like Ish and their experience in this one, 16-13. Championship: Game 1: Tanel 360 over Ish/Miken 19-12 Game 2: Tanel 360 over Ish/Miken 17-15 Order of Finish: 1) Tanel 360/Miken/Dave's 2) Ish/Miken 3) Floyd's 4) Prime Mortgage 5/6) Lucky's 13 and MN Mission |
